About IndiaBatmi

IndiaBatmi exists to make India legible in seconds. Every story on the site is an event — one occurrence, reported by one or more newsrooms, condensed into a 60-second brief with the sources named and linked.

What we are

• An AI-assisted news desk. Software discovers, clusters and drafts; the pipeline itself is public and described on our methodology page.
• An aggregator with a licence gate. We read publisher feeds, but we only publish coverage from sources whose re-use terms allow it — and we publish headlines, short factual summaries and links, never copied articles.
• A bilingual-by-design publication. English first, with Indic briefs machine-translated and quality-scored, growing toward twelve languages.

What we are not

• Not a newspaper with reporters at scenes. We do not claim original reporting we have not done.
• Not a human editorial board reviewing every draft before publication. AI-written briefs are marked as such on every page, and every claim carries a source trail readers can check.
• Not a financial adviser. Market pages carry delayed public data and say so.

Why it exists

Indian readers drown in the same event reported twenty times, in two languages, with the useful facts buried. IndiaBatmi collapses that noise: one page per event, source count and confidence visible, what-changed and why-it-matters in six bullets. If a fact is contested or official-claim-only, the page says so rather than smoothing it over.
